Thank you all for your well wishes and expression of sympathy. It’s getting a little easier, although it’s still hard when the Monkey asks, daily if not more often, “Where’s Oscar?” (actually “Whey-a Ok-kar?”) holding his hands in the air like a big confused shrug. The best we can figure to tell a two-year-old is that Oscar went “”bye-bye” and is now “all gone.” He seems to accept it just fine, but then completely forget until the next time that he notices Oscar is missing. (Not that I’m all that much brighter than a two-year-old, as I occasionally find myself looking for him, too.)
