Groundhog Day is my favorite holiday. I am firmly a Punxsutawney Phil fan. I stand by him. It’s like the Tammy Wynette song, except in this case “my man” is a groundhog.
But I can’t help but be discouraged by the past few days weather, including the fact that school was canceled Monday and Tuesday due to extreme cold and a wind-chill advisory. Still, I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Things could turn around. I’m counting on it.
